Sasha Gradiva Bringing Out The Big Guns At The Grammy Awards

In case you missed the 2012 Grammy Awards, there were quite a few interesting things going on, some gorgeous outfits, interesting people and of course, some shocking fashion disasters. One of these ridiculous outfits was worn by Sasha Gradiva, a Russian-born singer and songwriter that combines pop with dance and also a lot of electronic sounds. While she is still on the rise in U.S. due to her talents, it would seem that her fashion taste is a bit too ridiculous.

The outfit she wore for the Grammy Awards was this pink gorgeous dress that makes her look like she just came out of a fairytale; it has a nice shape, nice color and she pulls it off remarkably. The only problem with her dress is that it has a couple of silver guns attached to it which totally ruins the look and makes people wonder why she didn’t just go with the simple pink dress. On the other hand, she did bring the “boom” at the event but it wasn’t a good boom, more like a fashion explosion.

Sasha Gradiva had great success in Russia and she appeared in many big magazines in her native country such as Cosmopolitan, Maxim and Vogue before moving to the U.S. where is now starting to win the crowd. It is her unique blend of music styles that makes her so popular as well as her great looks. She is considered by many to be a big influence for young people when it comes to fashion. She has two albums already released and she is now working on the third one with big singles already released.

While the outfit is a fashion disaster and she got a lot of attention from big fashion magazines calling her “Gun Girl” it is also important to notice the message she tried to get across; world peace and the fact that all countries should submit their weapons for fashion. We just wished she would have done it in another way and not have big guns on her incredibly beautiful dress; something more subtle would have worked much better.

Randy Jackson And His Love For Dinosaurs

The truth is that this season is filled with colorful designs and a purple shirt might have actually worked here, but given the fact that there are colorful dinosaurs on that shirt, we have to say that the whole look is ruined and call it a fashion disaster. On the hand, he could have just taken it off after walking past a mirror and the white T-shirt with black pants would have been enough to get past the fashion radar. There is something about that purple jacket that attracts all the attention and it also resembles a bed sheet for small boys. It is uncertain what Randy was trying to achieve but it obviously didn’t worked out too good.

Randy Jackson is a singer, bassist, producer and TV personality that got a lot of attention for producing the series America’s Best Dance Crew. ABDC is now on its seventh season, gaining more and more audience each season as new styles of dancing were introduced on the stage. Randy Jackson won a Grammy Award for producing the fourth season of the dancing series. Some people may recognize him as one of the judges from American Idol. His eye for talent and entrepreneur skills have made him one of the most popular names in the business and his success only seems to be increasing. While his personal life is going great, he is married and has two children with Erika Riker as well as another child from a previous marriage, his health isn’t quite perfect. He announced in 2008 that he has type 2 diabetes.

He handed out six awards so far on America’s Best Dance Crew and people are dying to see who will manage to get their hands on golden b-boy this season. Until then, we can only hope that the producer doesn’t wear any more colorful dinosaurs to important events. Never underestimate the power of a nice suit or maybe even a simple casual outfit that shows professionalism more than a love for dinosaurs; if the jacket was just black, everything would have been great and he would looked much better.

Nicki Minaj – Too Much Red

Nicki Minaj is no stranger for this website as it is not the first time we got to see her wearing something shocking and not in the good sense of the word. After her colorful outfit worn for the MTV Video Music Awards, we thought that she got it all out of her system but it seems that she was just getting warmed up. For the 2012 Grammy Awards, she decided to wear this large red robe which is rumored to be designed by Versace. Her intentions remain unclear, the look inspires a Red Riding Hood outfit gone bad with a few cardinal elements which would work with the debut song she performed at the event, Roman Holiday. Her outfit, as her performance, is simply wrong and it even made Lady Gaga’s black outfit seem subtle in comparison. Good thing the message that young artists have to dress shockingly in order to attract attention was crushed by the other talented singers that showed up for the event looking perfect.

Nicki Minaj is known for her clothing choices that frequently shock the world of fashion. She gained a lot of popularity for her singing style and the fact that she signed with Young Money Entertainment which got her a lot of attention. Her most recent album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded was released on April 2, 2012. She was very involved with the album and tried to get the songs exactly the way she wanted them. The song performed at the Grammy Awards where she wore this dress had a mixed response from the crowd and for some people, the exorcism idea didn’t go very well.

She is young and her music career is growing so we might get to some more similar outfits that will create different opinions. She is now promoting her second album and we will surely see a new one in the next couple of years. The red outfit will make things hard to top for the next year Grammy Awards but we are sure she can come up with something interesting that will most likely rank her one of the worst dressed artists.

Luke Perry Trying To Bring Bag An Old Look

If you take a look at any “fashion disasters list” chances are that the majority of the people listed there are women. This is not because women tend to dress badly but because there are a lot more styles to choose from and experiment with when it comes to feminine outfits. For men, it is hard to go wrong with a nice suit at a formal event. Luke Perry wanted to prove us wrong and show that men deserve to be on this list just as much as women do and he chose a pretty good outfit for it. The old jeans with the big buckler combined with the shirt and the jacket with a nice cap to finish things off is a very common look when you work on a farm and take care of animals but it isn’t the first choice for a formal event. Taking us back a few years with his cowboy outfit, Luke Perry would have looked much better with a nice black suit.

Perry is mostly known for his role in the popular TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 where he played the role of Dylan McKay. He got a lot of attention early on because of the fact that he was playing a teenager of just 16 years old when the show began although he was actually in his mid-twenties. The appeared on the show from 1990 to 1995 and then came back for two more years in 1998 until the show ended in 2000. Despite the fact that there is currently a new Beverly Hills spin-off series, he declared that he doesn’t want to come back to the role that made him famous and instead focus on other projects. There are quite a few movies in production which will star the Hollywood “bad boy” so we will surely get to see him at future formal events; we can just hope that he will dress accordingly and leave the jeans and cap look for some other time.

We also forgot to mention that nice boots he had on which work great with his whole outfit.

Four Fashion Disasters From The Jersey Shore

It is always nice to see a few fashion disasters posing for a picture; the fact that they all look bad individuals makes the collective image look incredible. So, from left to right, we have Snooki, Sammi, Deena and J-Woww, known for appearing on the popular reality series Jersey Shore. The show started in 2009 and it is about eight persons living in a house during the summer at the Jersey Shore. There was a lot of controversy directed towards the show and cast due to the way they acted and the fact that they portrayed Italian-American stereotypes. There are five seasons already released, although not all of them were made on the Jersey Shore, and there is also a sixth season announced to be released soon.

Until the new season starts, we can still keep up with the case and see what they are up to and what they are wearing. If we would start with this picture, things aren’t going so well but the choice of flashy clothes and disastrous fashion styles shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that followed the series. The tight and short dresses with colorful patterns that can only cause headache, the big golden accessories, the rich makeup and the attitude makes for the perfect combination to be named a true fashion disaster. The fact that there are four of them makes it even better and it can be a bit difficult to choose the worse of the bunch but I think we will have to go with Deena and her rainbow tube dress that works wonders. The shin silver dress worn by J-Woww also deserves some attention as it doesn’t need a lot of light to blind everyone around her but it would be a shame to also forget the two similar patterns. In other words, each of the four ladies is a fashion disasters and while they all deserve a big mention, we are grateful that they took a picture together to make things easier.

Things are quite clear that although Snooki will not be able to take part in the sixth season due to her being pregnant, the case will keep on amusing us with their style.

The Little Mermaid Appears On The Red Carpet

It is always nice to see new styles and bold fashion statements on the red carpet but some of these designs don’t always go as good as you want them to. In case the celebrities don’t figure this out before they leave the house and they actually attend the event looking like The Little Mermaid, you can be sure to read about it the next day under “Fashion Disasters”.

Wearing a blue dress with what appears to be a tail with large scales on the bottom is not really the best idea, especially when you are 55 years old. Something a bit more subtle would have still stayed with the mermaid concept but would have worked a lot better for Hilary Devey. We can only wonder if she has shoes under that dress or if she even has feet; a mermaid out of water may have some trouble posing for the paparazzi.

If you are not familiar with the Ariel fan in this picture, she is a British businesswoman and television personality, best known for appearing on Dragon’s Den. She became rich after launching Pall-Ex, a freight network which grew to become one of the biggest networks in UK with annual revenues of almost 75 million pounds. She appeared on a few business shows and joined Dragon’s Den in 2011. She is estimated to be worth around 50 million pounds and is a very successful businesswoman. A small but interesting fact is that she stated she smokes 40 cigarettes each day and that she has been doing this ever since she was a teenager.

The fact that money doesn’t necessarily make you fashionable is quite true but we do applaud the effort of trying out a new look despite the fact that it went totally wrong. The pose in this picture is also pretty funny; she might know that the dress looks bad but she is ok with that and tries to go along with the joke. This shows character and humor so even if the dress wasn’t a success, she tries to make the most out of it and enjoy her evening. We hope to see her in the future with better outfits that show off her beauty.

Bonnie McKee Going For A Shockingly Bad Look

At any big event, there are a few fashion disasters just waiting to be seen, some are subtle, while others aim to shock with their different style that usually ends up being the worst dressed person of the night. One the yearly events that can attract interesting outfits is of course the Grammy Awards and the 2012 edition had quite a few to choose from. We saw guns, we saw glamour, and we also got to see long blonde hair coming from some interesting places. The shock value was indeed there and things looked disastrous from the moment she walked on the red carpet but got even worse when she tried to sell the look and make it seem that she was enjoying her unique style. The worst thing about a fashion disaster is when you don’t know you are it and this is what happened with Bonnie McKee at the Grammy Awards this year.

If you are not familiar with the name, don’t worry as she is not as famous as some of her competitors on the red carpet. She is an American singer that released her debut album in 2004, Trouble. The success of this album was pretty minor but she enjoyed a lot more success as a songwriter. She gave the lyrics to big hits such as California Gurls and Teenage Dream as well as others performed by Katy Perry. Other big names such as Taio Cruz and Britney Spears also gave voice to songs written by Bonnie.

So it is obvious that she has the talent but hasn’t yet managed to catch a break with her singing career. We are not sure if the loud dress is supposed to make her more popular, an idea which worked for Lady Gaga, but this dress simply looks bad and not even the famous queen of shocking outfits would wear it. Aside from the long blond strings, there is also the problem with the actual dress that doesn’t work one bit on her. The golden shoes and purse just make the disaster complete and it is safe to say that she Bonnie McKee was the worst dressed person on the red carpet.

Anna Faris Looking Adorable In A Shapeless Dress

Anna Faris, known by most people as the blonde from Scary Movie, is certainly scary with this interesting dress she wore for the 2012 Academy Awards. For those that don’t recognize her, she played the role of Cindy Campbell in the first four movies from the Scary Movie series and it is also rumored that she will play the role in the 5th movie which is said to appear in 2013. She also appeared alongside animated stars such as Yogi Bear and lent her voice for two of the movies starring Alvin and the Chipmunks as Jeanette. Her acting career is filled with family movies that are meant to bring joy and laughter which characterize her very well. She looks great, has a big sense of humor and an overall good sense of fashion.

Talking about fashion, let’s get back to the matter at hand; this black dress. Black is not really the best way to describe it, shiny, sparkly or even flashy would be better but the problems don’t stop there. The dress doesn’t really have any shape, it doesn’t hug the body, nor does it appear elegant, it is just a piece of material. This is really a big shame because the young actress looks great and has a nice body so a good dress shouldn’t be that hard to find, especially for the Academy Awards. Aside from having no lines, it is also a bit too long and probably quite uncomfortable, a fashion disaster at its best.

She does look very adorable once you get past the dress so there is still chance for her to come back in style at future big events. It is certain that she will manage to pull it off as long as she goes for something sexier while still keeping it young and fresh. As far as her movie career goes, there are quite a few movies that are set to appear in the next couple of years where we will get to see the funny actress performing for her fans. She did win the CinemaCon Comedy Star of the Year Award in 2012.

Amy Lee Not Dressed Like The Hottest Chick In Hard Rock

Since when it became ok for celebrities to wear nothing but a tablecloth tied around their bodies? We are talking of course about that pattern that belongs a picnic table and the material that make it resistant to stains; no the best adjectives to describe a fashionable dress. We do see Amy Lee giving it a chance at the MTV EMA and the result is as you would expect, disastrous. Aside from the design and the color, the dress doesn’t have any shape, it doesn’t fit her perfectly, it is just tied up around here; a small detail that can be seen on her shoulder where the corners of the tablecloth meet.  The black leather boots do give a certain rebellious touch to the outfit but it is uncertain if they help the look or actually damage it even more.

The American singer is the co-founder and the lead vocalist of the band Evanescence, a rock band that has gotten a lot of attention in previous years for their unique style. Aside from singing with her band, she also had numerous projects with other big names such as Korn and David Hodges. She was named the Hottest Chick in Hard Rock in the year 2011 by Revolver Magazine; an issue which had her on the cover. It is safe to say that she looks amazing that she would benefit a lot from a different outfit that goes with her style but is also more fashionable.

There are now three albums produced by Evanescence although the band went through some changes over time.  The hits from these albums got the band quite a few awards which include Best Vocalist for Amy in 2012 awarded by Revolver Golden Gods.

Talented and beautiful with a fashion sense that could use some work but there is potential. There is no talk about a froth album coming out from Evanescence but we hope to see Amy Lee performing as future music events. There is also the possibility of her releasing a solo album but things are still unclear as she said that there are songs that didn’t make it in the last album.

Amanda Peet Looking Like A Wedding Cake

Fashion can be a very sensitive notion and there is always a thin line between looking amazing and simply wearing something that doesn’t work. Some fashion disasters can be seen from a mile away while other are a bit more subtle but still clear enough for people to see that something went wrong. A good example of a more subtle fashion disaster was Amanda Peet and the dress she wore for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards. The “cake like” dress, as it was described by some fashion critics, was designed by Marc Jacobs but it just didn’t work well and did look a lot like a white wedding cake; not really the best idea when looking for a stylish outfit for a big formal event. There are too many layers that dangle above each other and while a white, one-shoulder dress designed by Marc Jacobs sounds great on paper, the results were very disastrous.

Golden Globe Awards 2012

If you are not familiar with the beauty wearing the dress, she is an American actress mostly known for starring in Identity, A Lot Like Love and 2012. She also appeared in the series Jack & Jill as well as in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Her career began with television commercials, grew with small roles and then moved on to the big screen with big Hollywood names. She is very talented as an actress and looks amazing at the age of 40 so it is very surprising to see her name on a fashion disasters list but these things can happen. A subtle mistake from time to time makes all the other good outfits look even better.

While the dress itself isn’t working for her, we have to say that she is trying to pull it off as best she can. The simple hair style and light makeup surely add more style to the look and she looks great if not for the dress. 2013 brings us a new movie starring Amanda Peet, Identity Thief, directed by Seth Gordon so we will get the chance to see more of this gorgeous actress, hopefully in better outfits.
