Rose McGowan With A Provocative Dress

No, the title is not wrong; this is not Cher in the picture but Rose McGowan, a known actress and singer that appeared in popular TV series such as Charmed and Elvis. The similarities between this picture and the outfits worn by Cher back in the day are amazing and the problem is that only the diva could have pulled those outfits off. When we see this look on anyone else, such as Rose here, it just doesn’t seem right.

The dress is a bit too revealing for a 38 year old actress despite the fact that she looks great, just not in this dress. Choosing something a bit more modern and up-to-date would have been much better rather than just copying a look that was great a few years ago. Of course, classic is also good and no one can argue that the Cher look is not a classic but without the Cher element in the equation, it is not the same.

The good choices she made with this outfit can be seen in her accessories. As the dress is already filled with crystals, there is not point in having extravagant jewelry and it is better to keep things simpler. She only has a ring and a pair of earrings on which is not too much despite the size of the stone on that ring. She also did a good job with the makeup and with the nails; keeping things simple.

So the only problem with the outfit is the dress but we can’t really blame her for wanting to look like Cher, the diva of the music industry.

Nicole Richie

This picture shows the star, Nicole Richie, at a gala looking interesting in her over the top dress. Most of us know Nicole from the television series The Simple Life where we got to see her along with her friend, Paris Hilton, handle some situations which they were not used to from the rural environment and they were pretty funny. Of course that is not all that Nicole Richie does, she is also a fashion designer, and author and a television personality. Not really a role model for young girls, she always looks a bit to thin and some say that she might have some eating disorders, add her drug problem and some friends and you have a few tabloid stories to read about.

While she is always partying, she is also followed by the paparazzi and this means that everything she does, we get to read about and see the pictures in the magazines the next day. Her fashion style for formal events is usually acceptable and there is nothing bad to say about her until the after-party is over. The outfit choice for this event is so twisted that the first time you take a glimpse at it, you may think that it is nice but this sensation won’t last for long as you take a closer look at the overall design. There are so many things that don’t belong on that dress that it would be hard to spot the number one mistake because it wouldn’t do justice to the other ones. At least the accessories are good as well as the choice of make-up so I guess you can’t call it a total train wreck but she won’t win any prizes for her fashion choice.

Tyra Banks

Tyra Banks is a supermodel, actress and TV host. If you don’t know her from her ads or from Victoria Secret, you probably know her from the Tyra Banks Show and America’s Next Top Model. She is a fighter for gay rights, she does charity, she is a fighter for women rights and overall she seems like the perfect woman. People would think that Tyra Banks has the fashion industry experience to recognize a fashion disaster. That didn’t keep her from committing one at the Vogue party at Paris Fashion Week.

Tyra Banks came wearing a fishnet mask along with a beautiful dress. Too bad she had to ruin all her outfit with that mask. The mask was tight on her face and it seemed to be made out of fishnet stockings and she later declared that it was made out of some cheap stockings she bought in Paris. I can only imagine the marks that mask left on her face after she took it down. She also wore makeup underneath the mask and I bet it was really hard to talk with that tighten up on her face like that. What was she trying to say? Was she trying to send us a message? It’s hard to see Tyra Banks dressed like that because she always looks beautiful and she was rarely in a fashion disaster.

Next time Tyra Banks should think twice before trying to shock or send a message and think about a straight forward solution to her problem that would make people understand what she is trying to express.

Sharon Stone

The age of 53 has never looked as good as Sharon Stone makes it seem. She used to be a model but she is more popular from her movies. The one that helped her truly get noticed was Basic Instinct, and erotic thriller where she shared the spotlight along with Michael Douglas. Sharon Stone won a Golden Globe for her performance in Casino for best actress. Her career stretches over 21 years and she doesn’t show a single day of exhaustion or any sing that she is slowing down. The truth is that she is of a certain age and she doesn’t exactly look like the young girl that posed for Playboy.

With age, comes experience and also respect and when we talk about such a great star like Sharon Stone, every word has to be carefully chosen. This picture shows Sharon Stone in an outfit that is not really for her age. The black see-through dress looks very nice and maybe she would have managed to pull it off if it wasn’t for the black leather coat and gloves and for the black hat; maybe the mafia is recruiting new members from the fashion and movie industry. That being said, despite the mentioned accessories, she managed to maintain a certain sense of style with the diamond earrings and the small pocket purse with various stones. A fact worth mentioning is that she was indeed wearing a Christian Dior dress. All in all, she does seem like she is having fun with this outfit and that she feels good with her choice of style. During her career she had numerous appearances on the red carpet and most of them were truly impressive so this small glitch won’t affect her image.

Robert Downey Jr

Most of us know Robert Downey Jr. from his latest movies but he is a great example of talent that faced a lot of difficulties in his life. He had a great start, one which many of us would kill for, being the sun of a world renowned film director and actually having the opportunity of playing in one of his father’s movies at the age of five. Pound represents the first time we got to see this young talent and he apparently fell in love with it since. A noticeable movie was Less Than Zero in 1987 not only because critics got to see glance of his true talent but also because this movie seemed to have pushed him more towards his drug addiction. He then appeared in some great movies like American Born Killers but his problem constantly kept him down being arrested by the police for drug consumption and being forced to follow several treatments. He eventually managed to find this drug problem and after staring in some independent movies, he landed the leading role in Iron Man. This movie had a great success as well as the sequel and we are all looking forward to seeing the third part of this comic book inspired story. One of his great performances was in Sherlock Holmes in 2009 which got him a Golden Globe.

It is safe to say that his drugs days are behind Robert Downey Jr. and we are happy to see him in future movies. The problem remains with his fashion sense because as you can see in this picture, his outfit has way too many colors for a normal man to wear. The truth is that he didn’t have much interaction with the fashion industry; while in Iron Man he only had to wear a metal suit and in Sherlock Holmes he mostly appeared half naked or drunk. But nothing would explain the choice of colors he made in for a flight in January 2011. Notice the lack of sunglasses despite the ever so bright and various colors. He looked like he was robed by a group of French stylists.

Always try to avoid using such bright colors for a casual outfit and try to go for something simpler. While he may look ok if we remove the scarf and the handbag, he seems pretty determined to carry this look home. We can only applaud you for your courage and we hope that the fashion world with treat you with care while we try to recover our momentarily lost sight.

Rihanna

We all know Rihanna from television, radio, magazines and pretty much everything that has anything to do with music. We got the chance to see how she evolved over half a decade and witness the transformation from a good girl which turned bad. Born in Barbados, she decided to move to the land of all opportunities at a young age to follow her talent. At the age of 16 she signed a contract Def Jam Records after convincing Jay-Z that she belongs there. The first time we heard her sing was in 2005 when she released her first album entitled Music Of The Sun which had a hit single Pon De Replay. She had something sweet about her and this combined with her superb voice quickly caught the public’s attention. Fast forward five years and we know Rihanna from her other four albums which contained more than 14 hits including Umbrella with Jay-Z which brought her a Grammy. The innocent girl from the beginning is nowhere to be found but it seems that that isn’t a problem as she continues to entertain us and proving that she deserves to be one of the best selling artists of all time.

Being in the spotlight for such a long time, we got to see her change style and try new fashionable looks. We learned that she is full of surprises and the way she constantly changes her hair makes her fresh every time. The problem with trying new things is that sometimes you are bound to mess something up. A perfect example of how Rihanna can go over the fashion line and end up looking a bit awkward is this black with thousands of colorful dots outfit. Some fashion designers stated that so many dots only belong on a clown but we embrace her for out of the box thinking and we are looking forward to her future mistakes.

Paris Hilton

There are few people who don’t know miss Paris Hilton but most of those who know her would probably agree that her notorious partying made her famous in the first place. Being friends with Britney Spears in her rebellious era, Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie only made her more famous. However, she is also an actress, a singer and a model. She is also a fashion designer and in 2004 she released her autobiography, which makes her an author too. I guess you agree when I say that she has a lot of experience in show biz and knows how to draw attention to herself. Unfortunately this time Paris Hilton managed to come up with the worse outfit ever and she also managed to wear it at the wrong moment.

She was spending her vacation in Hawaii when she was seen wearing this terrible outfit. I don’t know if this is a street dress, a bathing suit or something you wear in a club. The best thing in this picture is that hat and that is only because wearing a hat decreases your chances of getting skin cancer. Her snake skin skirt is just odd and it seems to be ripped; it also makes her legs look terrible combined with those flats. The bathing suit looks nice if it is indeed a bathing suit and the bag doesn’t seem like something you would wear on the beach but we will let that pass. She seems very proud of her outfit but it’s definitely not something she should be proud of.

Natalie Portman has gained quite the attention lately with her two popular movies, Black Swan and No Strings Attached and her pregnancy. She also won an Academy Award for Black Swan and is now engaged with one of the dancers from the movie. So, her life has been really good lately which makes us think that she dresses this bad because she started embracing the important deeper things like motherhood and love.

Natalie Portman is one of the unusual actresses so seeing her dressed like this makes you wonder if it’s her unusual style or a fashion disaster. Unfortunatley for her this time it’s just a bad fashion disaster. What makes her more unusual it’s her lifestyle and the fact that she has been a vegetarian since she was a child. So she doesn’t wear fur, leather, or feathers but that doesn’t mean that she is allowed to wear this horrible thing.

What makes this outfit ever more wrong is the fact that she has a golden collar and cuffs, which don’t match anything. Because she is pregnant the dress looks odd on her because it looks like she is trying to hide her pregnancy when we know that she is not. I also think her makeup is a bit too much and that it looks a bit worn out. Natalie Portman should know better than this when it comes to fashion because she has been such a fashionable lady until now. Maybe it’s the pregnancy or the fact that she is so much in love that keeps her from thinking straight when it comes to fashion.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell is a well known fashion model and actress. She was a real superstar in the 90s and she was featured in many commercial and music videos of famous artists like George Michael, Madonna or Michael Jackson. Besides modeling she has been involved in countless projects like her own fragrance, charity, literature and even music. For a woman like Naomi Campbell nothings seems to be too hard to obtain. As you can see she wasn’t very inspired in Miami since she wore that dreadful outfit. It’s hard for me to pick an item to begin with because I can’t decide which one of them is the worst.

The blouse is absolutely ridiculous, while the model seems interesting the pattern is terrible and I don’t even what to know what it means. The ripped off skirt is something you should never wear outside, especially if you are a well known supermodel. Although there are some types of ripped skirts that may be fashionable, this is definitely not one of them. Her beautiful legs are outshined by those ugly sandals that definitely don’t go with the blouse.

When it comes to the handbag I cannot see anything in her whole outfit that might match it. I know she wants to be cutting edge with her whole look but this is too far. Such combination of clothing items will not increase her celebrity in a positive way. What makes everything worse is the fact that she is a fashion model and fashion models are supposed to be trend setters. With such an outfit Naomi Campbell only manages to be appealing only for those suffering from vision impairment.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is the that innocent girl everybody knows from Hannah Montana and the hit song Can’t Be Tamed which shows us another side of her. We all thought that missy Hannah Montana is a grown up now and she is a stylish lady. These photos, however, prove us wrong and it seems that Miley is still a young girl with no fashion sense.

Somebody should give this girl a mirror or at least have her informed about that top which looks like she fought a couple of lions in a cage before going out for a coffee. I know she wants to be cool and young but that’s not the way to do it. Being trendy doesn’t mean you can just put any shocking outfit and go outside. And pairing that ripped top with some ripped jeans is not a good idea either. Let’s not forget about accessories which really make me mad. I know she’s young and she wants look edgy but when I look at how many bracelets she has on one hands all I can think about is that clinging noise she makes every time she moves. Also, you can also notice the elegant ring she wears on her finger that doesn’t go well with the “blings” on her hand.

Unfortunately the only nice things that can be mentioned about this outfit are those boots while the rest of her clothes are simply unfitting for the casual look she is trying to have. Miley Cyrus needs to hire a better stylist or improve her fashion sense; otherwise her young fans will start to copy these horrid outfits.
